Ein grosses Festessen mit tollen Menschen und gemeinsamem Kochen. Was f\u00fcr ein solches Festmal f\u00fcr 10 Personen n\u00f6tig ist, wie man einen Truthahn zubereitet und was man beachten sollte verrate ich im heutigen Beitrag. Psst, es gibt auch einen Rabattcode weiter unten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>2016 habe ich zu meinem ersten Thanksgiving aka Friendsgiving eingeladen, wir waren zu sechst. Mittlerweile sind wir jeweils um die 10 Personen und wechseln das Hosting des Dinners immer ab. Das heisst, wir sind jedes Jahr bei jemand anderem in unserem Tr\u00fcppchen. Was jedoch gleich bleibt, wir kochen immer gemeinsam und stehen einige Stunden zusammen in der K\u00fcche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Was du f\u00fcr ein solches Essen alles beachten solltest und wie ich Planung ist alles<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Wirklich, auch wenn du eher nicht der Planungstyp bist, f\u00fcr ein Essen dieser Gr\u00f6sse mit 10 Personen und mehr, ist Planung einfach alles. Ich strukturiere ein Essen in dieser Gr\u00f6sse immer mit einem Trello Board. Dort halte ich alles Tasks rund um das Festessen fest: Men\u00fc, Einkaufsliste, G\u00e4steliste, Rezepte, To dos und sogar die einzelnen Steps pro Gericht. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neben dem Essen geh\u00f6ren zum Thanksgiving Dinner f\u00fcr mich auch Themen wie Gastgeschenke, eine Men\u00fckarte oder Tischdekoration. Alles Tasks die ich vorausplanen kann, und so am Tag des Essens nicht in Zeitnot gerate. Ich decke und dekorieren zum Beispiel den Tisch immer schon am Vortag. Ich notiere mir alles konsolidiert auf einer grossen Liste. Das heisst, ich summiere die einzelnen Punkte und runde meistens auf, sodass ich auch wirklich gen\u00fcgend Zutaten zu Hause habe, wenn wir gemeinsam kochen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Den Truthahn bestelle ich immer 2-3 Wochen vor dem Ereignis: zum Beispiel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmy.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">online via Farmy <\/a>oder beim Metzger des Vertrauens. Die Onlinebestellung ist ideal, da der Truthahn direkt nach Hause geliefert (wie die Bestellung und Lieferung ablief findest du im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stories\/highlights\/17943704965638316\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Insta-Highlight<\/a>) wird und ich nicht noch alles abholen muss. Thanksgiving Truthahn: das solltest du beachten<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Kommen wir zum wichtigsten Part, wenn du ein Thanksgivingessen zubereiten willst. Hier alle Tipps rund um die Zubereitung des Truthahns Step-by-Step:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Truthahn in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.princess.ch\/blog\/thanksgiving-rezepte-tischdeko-inspiration\/\">Salzlake einlegen<\/a>:<\/strong> ca. 24h vorher in eine aromatische Brine (Salzlake) einlegen, dazu wird Zucker, Salz und Saft aufgekocht und mit Gew\u00fcrzen und Co. aromatisiert. Wir haben uns dieses Jahr f\u00fcr einen Apfel lastige Brine entschieden mit Apfelsaft, Cidre und frischen \u00c4pfeln. Die aromatische Salzlake sorgt f\u00fcr saftiges Fleisch. Der Truthahn in der Lake gek\u00fchlt und abgedeckt ziehen. Bei uns ist das jeweils in einem grossen Suppentopf auf dem Balkon (bei niedrigen Temperaturen).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Truthahn vorbereiten:<\/strong> aus der Lake nehmen, temperieren lassen und mit Butter einmassieren, w\u00fcrzen (Salz, Pfeffer) und f\u00fcllen (z.B. mit \u00c4pfeln oder Orangen). Auf einem Br\u00e4ter mit Gitter anrichten. Unterhalb des Truthahn gibt man Zwiebeln, Karotten, Sellerie und\/oder \u00c4pfel hinzu, die zum Schluss der Garzeit als Basis f\u00fcr eine aromatisch Gravy aka Bratensauce dienen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Truthahn in den Ofen:<\/strong> ein 6-7 kg schweres Tier hat ungef\u00e4hr 4-5 Stunden im Ofen, es wird langsam gegart und auf Temperatur (Ziel 75 Grad) gebracht. Ein Fleischthermometer ist hilfreich. In den Br\u00e4ter wird nach einer kurzen hohen Garzeit Wasser oder eben Cidre gegeben, um den Satz abzul\u00f6schen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Truthahn glasieren:<\/strong> daneben wird <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marthastewart.com\/863968\/turkey-brown-sugar-glaze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">die Glasur vorbereite<\/a>t. Nach einer Backzeit von ca. 1.5 Stunden wird der Truthahn bis zum Schluss nun regelm\u00e4ssig eingepinselt. Extratipp: verwende einen Pinsel mit hitzebest\u00e4ndigen Borsten (z.B. Silikon) <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ruhen lassen: <\/strong>ist der Truthahn fertig, sollte er gut nochmals 30 Min bis zu einer Stunde ausserhalb des Ofens ruhen. Eingewickelt in Alufolie packen wir den fertigen Truthahn zus\u00e4tzlich in ein grosses Badetuch ein. So h\u00e4lt er wunderbar seine Temperatur.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gravy aka Bratensauce finalisieren: <\/strong>den Satz im Br\u00e4ter verwendet man f\u00fcr die Gravy. So erh\u00e4ltst du eine wunderbar aromatische Bratensauce, die gar nicht mehr viele extras ben\u00f6tigt. Ich gebe den gesamten Satz in ein Sieb und danach in einen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.galaxus.ch\/de\/s2\/product\/oxo-fetttrenner-1000ml-backutensilien-16388635\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fetttrenner<\/a>. Die \u00fcbriggebliebene Fl\u00fcssigkeit aka Bratensauce koche ich nun auf und schmecke sie ab. Dieses Jahr war der Bratenfond bereits perfekt aromatisiert durch das Abl\u00f6schen mit Apfelcidre. Ich habe die Sauce lediglich noch mit Mehl abgebunden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tranchieren: <\/strong>Dieser Schritt ist f\u00fcr mich eine Kunst und ich \u00fcberlasse ihn immer einer lieben Freundin, die das aufgrund jahrelanger Tradition beherrscht.
